NASCQ

Students who attend any certification course will automatically receive a membership in the Association valid for a period of three years. For membership to remain valid, dues must be paid in January, annually thereafter.

Membership Categories

Member – A Member is a Government employee, military or civilian, from any agency who attended at least one NASCQ training course and is actively engaged in any aspect of service contract quality for at least 25% of the work year. Members are eligible to serve on Association boards, committees, and participate in the business activities of the Association as voting members. Further, until determined otherwise by the Membership Committee, any Government employee, military or civilian, who has in the last five years from the date of application attended any week long service contract quality related course may apply for membership by letter identifying the course by title and providing a synopsis of the course content and the approximate dates attended. If such course is a regularly schedule course, identification of the provider, course title, and approximate dates attended is all that is necessary. Until determined otherwise by the Membership Committee, designation as a Member will not change for Members of three years or more if the Member leaves Government service and wishes to continue as an active, participating member of the Association.

Associate Member - An Associate Member is a non-Government employee, or a Government employee who is not otherwise eligible as a Member, but has a special interest in service contract quality and the Association. Associate Members may participate in Association activities, but without voting rights. Any active Associate Member, who is not otherwise eligible for full membership, after three years as an Associate Member and wishes to be designated as a member, may apply. The Membership Committee will rule independently on each application.

Senior Member - Any Member or Associate Member, after 20 years of membership and having reached the age of 62 may become a Senior Member. Senior Members may participate in Association activities with voting rights. Until such time as the Association has members with 20 years of continuous participation, members and associate members who can demonstrate 20 years or more of directly related experience in the field can apply for Senior Member status. The Membership Committee will rule independently on each application.

Corporate Member - Corporate membership is based upon approval by the NASCQ Membership Committee. Corporations desiring to join the Association should submit a letter of application for consideration. Such membership will be based upon personal or corporate qualifications and will not be transferable. A corporate membership entitles the owner to designate up to three individuals from the Corporation for membership. Other individuals employed by the Corporation may become Associate Members in their own right. Corporate Members may participate in all Association activities, but without voting rights.

Membership Dues

Member $35
Associate Member $15
Senior Member $25
Corporate Member $200

Membership Certificates – Members joining the association at any time prior to the first annual meeting scheduled for March, 2010, will be issued membership certificates denoting them as “Charter Members” eligible for nomination as officers of the association and for voting on motions made before the membership at the annual meeting.
